The Origen Sostenible Program is an initiative of the Asociación Brasileña de Empresas de Componentes para Leather, Footwear and Artefactos (Assintecal) and the Asociación Brasileña de Industrias del Calzado (Abicalçados), which are currently responsible for managing certification.

What is the necessary investment to certify myself in Origen Sostenible?

Accepted Answer

The investment of the companies varies depending on the size (Micro / Small) and (Medium / Large), and also in relation to the negotiation of the company with the audit stage.The initial investment is only the subscription fee: R$ 900 for Micro / Small company and R$ 1,500 (Median / Large)It is important to highlight that this value is a single rate valid for two years, the duration of the certification.

How long does it take to obtain certification?

After joining the Program, the company commits within a period of 12 months to request the audit and receive certification. However, the time varies according to the time inverted by the company team when collecting tests.

How valid is the certificate and seal? Do I need to do it every year?

The validity of the certification is two years old. Therefore, it is not necessary to carry out audits every year.

Footwear and footwear component companies can participate in the Program, as long as they are associated with one of the following entities: Assintecal or Abicalçados.
